The GriffIT club was formed to provide our students a hands-on experience with technology and interpersonal skills. Students are exposed to a variety of real world experiences while learning about the technology.  We would like to give students experiences that involve helping both in the school environment and within the community. Students will learn how to troubleshoot basic computer problems and support the use of our 1:1 Chromebook initiative. In addition to this we would like to eventually offer a monthly “how-to” session for community members that is run by GriffIT students.

I have been a computer teacher for 30 years, in which 22 of those years I acted as a co-network administrator. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to server support, end-user support, inventory management, technology procurement, anti-virus support, school website design, email and user account management, security camera management, cable installation, how-to faculty support, software installation, operating system upgrades, and many, many other technology related services.

We will utilize before school time, study halls, lunch, and after school time to accomplish our goal of helping to improve the technology support with the Boquet Valley School District.
